Primary Purpose:

Planning, deploying, managing, and supporting the business-critical IT environment, systems, and service components.
Key role in ensuring the continued success of this company's innovative banking software; supporting in-house applications, as well as managing the software release processes

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Degree / Diploma (BSc Computer Science, B.IT or Informatics related degree would be an advantage)

Experience:

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in IT environment with 3+ years’ experience as Software Engineer or DevOps Engineer (Deployments)
  • Experience in Financial services would be an advantage
  • IIS, API’s, Web services, websites configuration and maintenance in a Microsoft Environment

Technical Competency Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the following core systems with regards to design/implementation and support would be an advantage (DevOps and Team Foundation; Azure; SFTP)
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Server environment.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems at advanced administration level: Microsoft Windows Server
  • Good working knowledge of SQL and SQL scripting
  • Responsible for implementing, systems and services through project work.
  • Proactive/ takes initiative.
  • Capable of working self-sufficiently as well as part of a team
  • Strong experience of providing server web application/system support (not desktop) within a windows environment
  • Business requirement, system analysis and problem-solving ability
  • Integration and automation techniques
  • Working with development teams on planning and building new technology
  • Building frameworks for software and application deployment
  • Attend Technical, Design, Framework and Vendor meetings.
  • Stand in for IT Systems Manger where necessary with regards to Meetings, Design, Reporting and Technical Support functions
  • Provide technical leadership
