Primary Purpose
To assist in contributing to the efficient functioning of the Bank’s Debtors team by ensuring timely and accurate collection and allocation of funds from Bank customers as well as to effectively managing and recovering outstanding debt from corporate and personal customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and contributing to the Bank's profitability. The role involves implementing effective strategies, maintaining strong customer relationships, providing accurate and timely reporting on activities and performing associated administrative tasks.

Qualifications
- Diploma in Accounting, finance or equivalent
Experience
- At least 3 - 5 years of experience in a Debtors function, preferably in a corporate banking environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing debtor accounts, recovering outstanding debt and performing associated administrative tasks
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in managing aging reports: Ability to monitor overdue accounts and categorize debtors based on the time of outstanding balances.
- Collection process management: Knowledge of strategies and tools to manage collection efforts, ensuring prompt payments from customers.
- Payment reconciliation: Ability to match payments received with customer invoices and track discrepancies.
- Understanding of payments terms
- Attention to detail: High level of accuracy in entering invoices, payments, and other financial data into systems.
- Data management skills: Ability to organize and maintain large volumes of debtor data effectively.
- •Tax compliance: Understanding of tax regulations related to accounts receivable, such as VAT (Value Added Tax) or Sales Tax, and ensuring accurate invoicing and reporting
- Automation tools: Knowledge of automation tools that can streamline invoicing, collections, and reporting processes.
- Ability to use advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other financial modelling tools, for analysis and reporting.
