The purpose of the role is to drive the execution of the transformation agenda by ensuring that the business complies with legislative requirements and best practices in alignment with the business strategy. Provide best practice and thought leadership on all B-BBEE scorecard elements whilst executing, monitoring, influencing and improving on the B-BBEE scorecard. The incumbent will be expected to make recommendation to the business on changes to policies in favour of achieving transformation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
Build strategic relationships with relevant external stakeholders, e.g. DOL, transformation committee, DTI, Banking Association South Africa (BASA), Financial Sector Transformation Council (FSTC) etc.
Participate and drive discussions with internal and external stakeholders about progress in implementing the Company Transformation plan
Participate in stakeholder transformation forums
Drive information sessions to highlight major changes, challenges, strategies and action plans
Reporting
Consolidation of internal B-BBEE scorecard (quarterly)
Ensure all divisional data consolidated timeously to develop internal scorecard in all scorecard elements
Consolidate accurate BFS internal scorecard for inclusion in Transformation Forum and Board pack
Keep records of consolidations with all information utilized to draft scorecard
Assist with divisional internal audit process
Conduct internal audit
Develop audit reports and recommendations
Assist with development of annual gap analysis and implementation plans
Assist with monitoring development of actual scorecard against target scorecard
Assist with implementation of relevant transformation projects
Monthly and quarterly reporting
Lead Development and Implementation of the Employment Equity Agenda
Support the development and implementation of an Employment Equity and Skills Development Strategy for the Bank to achieve business objectives
Support the development and implementation of transformation action plans/initiatives and the execution thereof
Make recommendations to the Bank on changes to HC practices and policies in favour of achieving transformation strategies
Oversee development of appropriate business and functional unit plans to give effect to Bank Transformation strategy
Co-ordinate the execution of the transformation strategy and communication for all related projects at BFS level and oversee implementation at a divisional level
Identify risks, opportunities and weaknesses and develop appropriate risk mitigation plans and strategies to address them
Employment Equity Reporting and Compliance
Ensure Legislative compliance on all aspects of Employment Equity, BBBEE and all associated legislative or national initiatives in furtherance of the transformation agenda
Monitor and keep abreast of all transformation and BBBEE legislative changes and updates
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation e.g. EE/ DTI Codes/ EE Act
Ensure audit and verification processes on an annual basis aligned to the Transformation strategy execution
Develop and implement an EE reporting and monitoring tool
Track and monitor identified measures to improve EE
Assist with divisional internal audit process
Develop audit reports and recommendation
Project management
Strong project management skills including the ability to lead cross functional team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Required qualifications:
Education:
Matric
Degree- Human Resources/ Law or Commercial Degree or Equivalent
Experience:
4-6 years of relevant experience in Transformation role
B-BBEE verification experience
Experience in a financial industry is an advantageSkills and Competencies
